My Top 10 Film of 2015

Finally I can do this. That’s the problem of waiting for one of the most important films of 2015 , coming so late.

Here I go…

1# The best to #10

1) The Revenant

Alejandro G. Iñarritu ambitious filmmaking with Dicaprio , Hardy and Master of cinematography Chivo Lubezki have made a stunning epic Achievement. This is Art!

“Revenge is in god’s hands not mine.”

2) Mad Max : Fury Road

My most difficult pick for #2 . A redemption of a franchise in the most exhilarating action film in years. George Miller the same director of the previous  movies, have made a cinematic  come back with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. This film is nominated for 10 Oscars and you don’t see o great action/ adventure films  often like this one in years.

“My name is Max. My world is fire. And blood.”

3) Star Wars : The Force Awakens

I Love Star Wars and is the best directed film to date, Not the best Star Wars film don’t misunderstood. Last year was full of nostalgia and more to see you favorite and most iconic characters of cinema coming back. This film is more than the top grossing film of 2015 is also one of the best. I think if the Academy have 10 spots this film can make it for Best Picture or less because this film is so way better than The Martian , and have a major Oscar snub for the Production design. What a shame! Thanks JJ. Abrams.

“Chewie, we’re home.”

4) Creed

The sequel from Rocky with the son of Apollo Creed Played by Michael B. Jordan is a tribute to one of the best boxing films of all time , this time Sylvester Stallone passing the torch in a incredible heartwarming performance and director Ryan Coogler just naild it.

“Time takes everybody out; time’s undefeated.”

5) Inside Out

Pixar always with his creativity this time with a ambitious concept in the most emotional animated film ever made.

” Take her to the moon for me. Okay? “

6) Sicario

a slow burner thriller from director Denis Villeneuve  with Emily Blunt , Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin. Benicio del Toro’s best performance since 21 Grams pull this movie into the edge. Master of director of photography Roger Deakins making glorious shots as always .

“Time to meet God.”

7) The Hateful Eight

Quentin Tarantino creates a huge Scope vintage western thiller , comedy with his DP Robert Richardson in 70mm film. Samuel Jackson was tremendous and hilarious.Jennifer Jason Leigh is nominated for a Oscar and Maestro Ennio Morricone can win his first one.

This film is snub form best original screenplay  in The oscars and best Comedy in the Globes But  if you know me The Golden Globes means shit to me.

“Move a little strange, you’re gonna get a bullet. Not a warning, not a question…”

8 ) Room

Thanks to my dear friend to recommend me this films. critics praised it and is so great. Director Lenny Abrahamson make a great adaptation film and Brie Larson with a touching performance , I dare to say she will win that Oscar trophy this year. A woman trap in a room with a son that never have seen the day light the only way to scape is with his son play dead and the guy can take him out and he later comes with help.

“Are we in another planet? ” – Jack

“Same one. Just a different spot.” – Ma

9) Bridge of Spies

My favorite filmmaker , living legend Steven Spielberg ‘s cold ward thriller  with Tom Hank and Mark Rylance was one of the best film of the year, with a opening shot saying he is Auteur filmmaker.

“We have to have the conversations our governments can’t.”

10)  Ex- Machina

One of the first film i saw last year and Im proud it have some oscar nomination so well deserved. Great talented actors like Oscar Isaac , Alicia Vikander ( Who I said he is going to be a great actress and now have a oscar nomination for The Danish Girl) and Domhnall Gleeson. Is A non horror sci-fi film that will scare you by the concept. Hey Alex Garland Keep going.

“One day the AIs are going to look back on us the same way we look at fossil skeletons on the plains of Africa. An upright ape living in dust with crude language and tools, all set for extinction.”
