Died: July 23, 1945

From: Kentucky, US.

Occupation: Director, Producer.

They called him the father of cinema.  He started acting as an extra in movies and then later becomes a pioneer of modern cinema. Also made the controversial film Birth of a Nation (1915). He is mostly know for his style of editing such as Classic , close -up and paralell editing.

The Birth of a nation (1915)

Intolerance ( 1916)

The Battle of the Sexes (1928)

and many other short films and feature films.
